- Interpretation Of Quran / The long version
- /
- (002) Al Bakara
Dear brother, we continue with lesson thirteen of the interpretation of "Surat Al-Baqarah".
(If) has two meanings:
We continue with the verse number twenty-three and the verse which comes after. Allah, Glory be to Him, says:﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
(If) has two meanings, the first is the probability of occurrence, and the second is the realization of occurrence:
﴾ When comes the Help of Allah (to you, O Muhammad) against your enemies) and the conquest (of Makkah),(1)﴿
The victory of Allah must come.﴾ O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.(6)﴿
He may come, and he may not; so, (If) has two meanings, the first is the probability of occurrence, and the second is the realization of occurrence:
﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
The meaning of suspicion is the doubt, why did the infidels of Mecca suspect the Message of the Prophet? Though the enemies of the Prophet, peace be upon Him, have called Him the truthful and the trustworthy, and they did not know him as a liar man ever; Is it reasonable that the Prophet does not lie to people, but lies to Allah?
The polytheists used to put their money in the possession of Him, they trusted in him to the extent that when the Prophet immigrated to Al-Medina, He kept his cousin "Ali Ibn Abu Talib" to return the money to its owners, because the Prophet is trustworthy and truthful for them, and He was called in Quraysh "the trustworthy", so why did they accuse Him of the divine message? Why did they say that He is a liar? While He didn't have knowledge:
﴾ Neither did you (O Muhammad) read any book before it (this Qur'an), nor did you write any book (whatsoever) with your right hand. In that case, indeed, the followers of falsehood might have doubted.(48)﴿
The Prophet brought miraculous words that the fluent of Arabs cannot produce anything like, so from where did they get the doubt? Some scholars have said: "This is a psychical doubt, not a scientific doubt; they wished that the Qur'an was revealed to a great man from the two villages "Mecca". They had standards, which are money and position, but the standards of Allah are different from the standards of human beings, and we need to that precise meaning today.
For Allah, you gain ranks by knowledge and work only:
In every society you find rich people, strong people, and people who are in a high standing; those people are tops according to the standards of their society, but according to the standards of Allah they may not be like that:
((Many a shaggy dusty man, who only has two worn dresses and no one, pays any attention to him, but if he has invoked Allah, Allah would respond to him))
You may be a low income worshiper, you haven't a big affair, if you have stayed away, no one would miss you, and if you have attended, no one would pay attention to you. Those people the Prophet has called them " the pious clandestine people: If they have attended, they would not be known, and if they have been absent, they would not be missed":
((Allah likes the pious clandestine people, those who if they have been absent, they would not be missed, and if they have attended, they would not be called))
However, you may be in a very high rank according to the standards of Allah.
The infidels wanted this prophecy for a great man from the two villages, this man has plentiful money, a big affair, and a highbred descent; but Allah, Glory be to Him, raises whom He wills from His worshipers, and downgrades whom He wills. So the superiority, o brother, is to be in a high rank according to the standards of Allah, these ranks are only gained by knowledge and work:
﴾ Is one who is obedient to Allah, prostrating himself or standing (in prayer) during the hours of the night, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of his Lord (like one who disbelieves)? Say: "Are those who know equal to those who know not?" It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allah's Signs and Verses).(9)﴿
And Allah, Almighty, says:
﴾ O you who believe! When you are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room. Allah will give you (ample) room (from His Mercy). And when you are told to rise up[for prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause), or for any other good deed], rise up. Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.(11)﴿
And He says:
﴾ For all there will be degrees (or ranks) according to what they did. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.(132)﴿
The meaning of wisdom:
Allah has only two measurements, knowledge and work, be precise in your sight and thoughts:
﴾ He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.(269)﴿
The wise is a lot of welfare, as Allah, The Greatest, describes it, what is wisdom? The exhaustive definition of wisdom is to know the truth and act accordingly, if you have known the truth, but you did not work accordingly then you are not wise, maybe you're a scholar, an educated, a cultured, but you would not be wise unless the behavior matches the knowledge that you have, if you have learned and benefited from what you have learned, if you have known and the daily behavior agrees this knowledge, and if you have known the big truth, then the daily movement agrees this fact, you are wise.
﴾ to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good(269)﴿
According to the text of the Holy Quran:
﴾ to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good (269) ﴿
The human benefits from wisdom forever:
What is the welfare of the worldly life? A person has a thousand million, or he has five hundred acres of land, or he has houses that only Allah knows how many they are, or he has movable and immovable money, or he has billions of funds in the foreign banks. Allah, Almighty, says:
﴾ Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world. The Hereafter is (far) better for him who fears Allah, and you shall not be dealt with unjustly even equal to the Fatila (a scalish thread in the long slit of a date-stone).(77)﴿
Equate between the two verses:
﴾ Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world. The Hereafter is (far) better for him who fears Allah(77)﴿
The enjoyments are little because they end with death, the death comes and never leaves anything for you except a few meters of cheap, raw, unbleached, and brown type of cloth, that is the cerement; so you don't take anything with you. Hence, the discontinuous thing is not much, though the worldly life has not accommodated it, because it is discontinuous. The two verses are
﴾Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world. The Hereafter is (far) better for him who fears Allah(77)﴿
And He, Almighty, says:
﴾ and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.(269)﴿
That you benefits from wisdom forever, while you don't benefit from a lot of money but little as what you eat, what you drink, what you wear, a bed to sleep on, and a house for rooming.
You be great according to the standards of Allah:
Once, a mighty king asked his minister: "Who is the king?" The heart of the minister trembled and said: "You are the king; does the land belong to someone else?" The king said: "No, the king is a man who we don't know and he doesn't know us, he has a house to dwell in, he has a wife that pleases him, he has a livelihood which is enough for him, if he has known us, he would make efforts to satisfy us, and if we have known him, we would do our best to embarrass him".
The precise concept of the king is he who knew Allah and was straight in doing His commands; hence, Allah has promised him with heaven.
﴾ Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise), which he will find true, like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)?(61)﴿
They wished according to the ground standards that a great man from The Two Villages has got the prophecy; but Allah, Glory be to Him, has given it to a truthful, trustworthy, affectionate, sincere, and dutiful man.
The top of your superiority is that Allah, Almighty, accepts you according to His standards; so the young man who has grown up as an obedient person to Allah. The simple employee, who performs services for people without extorting their money, without causing great embarrassment for them, and without complicating things, may be in the lowest rank in the worldly life, but he is great according to the standards of Allah. This trustworthy merchant who teaches people a lesson in piety, integrity and honesty is great according to the measurements of Allah.
A man who has a low income, but he seeks to spread the truth is great according to the standards of Allah, so the lesson is to be great according to the standards of Allah.
One of the prayers of the Prophet, peace be upon Him, "O Allah, let me see myself small in my opinion, and great in the eyes of people".
There are many people who they are small in the eyes of people, but according to their opinion they are great, that is the disease of vanity and arrogance.
The highest rank in religion:
Dear brother:
﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
The top rank in medicine is to have the Board, or (F-RSS) from the United Kingdom, or (Acrijeh) from France, this is the highest degree in medicine. For example, the higher Certificate in Literatures is to have a State Doctorate that authorizes you to gain the Nobel Prize; this is the ranks of the worldly life, as a man wrote a literary production, then he was rewarded greatly to the extent that he was granted the Nobel Prize, but I wonder: What is the highest rank according to the standards of Allah, Almighty?
The top rank in money is to have thousands millions of the very expensive currencies. Thousands millions.
The financial capability of the person who invented the computer and now he is leading a superior industry in this field thirty milliard dollars, this is a high financial rank; and there is a scientific rank like Einstein" who put the theory of relativity; and there is an administrative rank such as the human who sits on the throne of the most powerful nation in the world, this man is at the top of this society, but what is the highest rank in the world of religion?
The highest rank is the rank which the Prophet (PBUH) has reached to, the rank of the servitude of Allah, to be truly a worshiper to Allah:
﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
You are in the highest degree of Allah when you are a worshiper to Him; the meaning of worshiper is the full compliance, the full love, the full devotion, the full satisfaction with the fate of Allah, and the tranquility to Allah's promise:
﴾ Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah[i.e. they have gone out for Jihad (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers], of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred), and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed[i.e.they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah]in the least.(23)﴿
Allah always supports His religion:
Our Master the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon Him, was wanted and his blood was wasted during the migration, and Quraysh assigned one hundred camels as a reward for anyone who brings Him alive or dead; "Suraqa" followed The Prophet (PBUH) to slay Him in order to gain the reward, and in that time the Islamic mission was in the most difficult stage in its history, because The Prophet was wanted and his blood was wasted during His travelling from Mecca to Al-Medina, and a hundred camels for who brings Him alive or dead.
The Prophet said to him: "What do you say, o Suraqa, if you wear the two bracelets of the king of Persians? This means that the Prophet was confident that He would arrive safely to Al-Medina, He would establish a state there, He would fight the Persians, and He would capture the treasures of Persians king; so He promised Suraqa to make him wear the two bracelets of Persians king.
Look at the confidence with the promise of Allah, Almighty, He promised you with victory, and the more your faith was strong, it does not shake even if you have heard a thousand news against Islam, this religion is the religion of Allah, and He will never abandon it, moreover I wish that Allah grants me the honor of to be a soldier for Him.
The most thing which I am afraid of is that Allah doesn't allow me to be a soldier for the right, or that He doesn't accept me as a soldier in His army; but as for this religion it is His religion, and He supports it.
Our Lord Almighty, may support His religion by an immoral men, sometimes He utilizes the enemies of religion to serve the religion, perhaps the mission emerges from a country which fights the religion, and this is happening now in Europe and America, since the awareness increases in them, so people embrace Islam in crowds, they reach to the senior ranks although they are Muslims, and that is what worries the Western World, as they say: "There are people live between us and belong to our race, highly educated, and occupy the highest positions, though they embrace the Islam!!"
Allah, Almighty, is the patron of His religion, and He always supports it in one way or another, but you have to worry if Allah doesn't allow you to assist Him, or to be among his soldiers, because Allah, Almighty, is Precious:
﴾ And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes(38)﴿
Piety is the fruit of knowledge and obedience to Allah:
If the Arabic Nation, which Allah has honored by the message of Islam and made it a medial nation, has shortened in its mission, Allah would use another nation. Our Lord has honored us that He put us in the noblest position between nations, and He made the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him, from our race.
You find a non Muslim human stands submissive in the prayer and cries while perhaps he doesn't understand anything from the reciting, because he doesn't speak Arabic language. That person is being asked:"Why are you attending this public prayer in the mosque, in the time that you don't understand anything?"
He says: "What does the baby understand when his mother puts him on her chest?" He sucks her breasts, and she embraces him among her arms and inundates with her compassion, what does he understand from her speaking?
He does not understand anything, but he is very happy, just like that child, although he doesn't understand what is reauthord in the prayer but the happiness which comes from his approaching to Allah is like the happiness of child when he is near his mother. We speak Arabic, we listen to the Quran the day and night, we pray behind the imam and understand his reciting; may that foreign man who does not speak Arabic is more closer to Allah than us?!!
O brother, the issue is decisive and the things are very clear, in this universe there is a very clear fact, just one fact which is Allah, each one has come near to this fact, he would felt security, he would felt calm, he would felt satisfaction, he would feel that the future is for him, and he would feel that this worldly life is too small and doesn't merit to care for it:
((The worldly life is a present and something nonessential, and both the righteous man and the dissolute man can benefit from it, and that the Hereafter is a true promise which A Capable King governs it.))
((If the worldly life has weighed a wing of mosquito in the standards of Allah, He would not allow that the infidel benefits from it even a mouthful of water.))
Someone has told me: "The area of my house is seven hundred meters, you find in this house all what you wish; gardens, balconies, halls, the extremely luxurious furniture, and all the modern means."
I replied: "The Generous Prophet, who He is the master of the progeny of Adam and the master of creatures and the beloved of Allah, when He wants to pray at night, the place in His room was narrow for Him to pray and for His wife to sleep, so she was going aside in order to give way to the Prophet to pray; it means that the area of the house and the high income are not a measure of the human happiness.
As well as, one of the Prophet's Companions "Mus'ab Ibn Umair", his father was rich, he was one of the most rich, elegance, and perfuming young men in Quraysh; when he announced his conversion to Islam, his father disclaimed and exiled him, and he did not give him anything from the worldly life's money. When Mus'ab died, the Prophet saw him and he has been shrouded with a cloth which if it has put on his head, his feet would be exposed, and if it has been dragged to his feet, his head would be uncovered, so the Prophet, peace be upon Him, wept.
This worldly life has no value, you may occupy an employment like a storekeeper, or a thumper typewriter, you may be at a very small but you are great according to Allah; Allah has one measurement, the knowledge of Allah and His obedience yield belief and piety.
The Prophet’s rank:
Read:
﴾No doubt! Verily, the Auliya' of Allah[i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allah and fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve (62) Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and used to fear Allah much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds).(63)﴿
The Generous Prophet recognized Allah and complied with His commands, so He (PBUH) has held the highest rank that a human may reach at all, so He was a worshipper for Allah.
Read the Words of Allah, The Greatest:
﴾ So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave[Muhammad through Jibrael (Gabriel)].(10)﴿
Where did this matter happen? At « Sidrat Al Montaha »; (where no one, spiritual or otherwise can ascend or descend beyond, unless ordained by Allah), in the rank which no one has reached but Muhammad, peace be upon Him:﴾ Indeed he (Muhammad) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah).(18)﴿
And Allah says:
﴾ So did (Allah) convey the Inspiration to His slave[Muhammad through Jibrael (Gabriel)].(10)﴿
﴾ Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah)[above all that (evil) they associate with Him][Tafsir Qurtubi, Vol. 10, Page 204]Who took His slave (Muhammad) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.(1)﴿
Difference between slaves and worshippers:
Allah, The Greatest, says:
﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
So, when you worship Allah in the right way, you ascend to the highest rank which is to be a worshipper for Allah; but all the people are completely slaves of Allah, whether they are infidels or believers.
The meaning of servitude is to be in need for the supply of Allah; which one of us can say: "I am not a slave?" If you were not a slave then close your nose, can you?
You are in need for breath, if the air has been prevented from you for three minutes you would die, then you are not a slave? Refrain from water for two days or one day, you will die, then you're not a slave? Refrain from food, your existence is lacking to everything around you, to air, to water, to food, to wife, to shelter, to a livelihood, and to money which you need to buy food; so you are a slave, this subdued slave is not who we intend, that is the slave of subduing, and the expression of plural is slaves:
﴾ And your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves. (46) ﴿
But the intended is the worshipper of gratitude, and the expression of plural is worshippers:
﴾ And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.(63)﴿
And Allah says:
﴾ Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)!.(53)﴿
The evidence of this Book is its miracles:
The worshippers are those who recognized Allah, who chose to obey Him, who preferred to be close to Him, and who worked to achieve His paradise; so notice the difference between the slaves and the worshippers. So the Prophet, peace be upon Him, is a worshipper of Allah, because He came to Allah willingly; He is a worshipper of gratitude, not a slave of subduing. The atheist is a slave of Allah, and the evidence that his presence is lacking to air, drink, and food; he is a subdued slave. On the other hand, the faithful worshipper recognized to Allah freely, and obeyed Him freely, so he is a worshipper of gratitude. So:﴾ And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur’an) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful(23)﴿
The evidence of this Book is its miracles; it means the poetizing of Quran, the formulation of Quran, the language of Quran, the letters of Quran, the news of Quran, the scientific facts in Quran, the educational method in Quran, and the origins of sciences in the Quran; all human beings are helpless in front of these facts, so the miracles of Quran is the evidence that It's the Words of Allah , and the last lesson was about the miracles of the Holy Quran, as there is a scientific miracles, a literary and rhetorical miracles, an informative miracles , and a descriptive miracles. Allah, Almighty, says:
﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it. (24) ﴿
Allah challenged all mankind in the Quran:
This challenge is existing forever, and which human can judge the future? This is impossible, someone might say: "I am the most knowable person now", but is there anybody on the earth can say: "I am the most knowable person in the future? This talk is not scientific, and you mock and laugh at a person like him, because human may defy who are around him, but he can't defy those who will come in the future. Allah alone who can challenge because He is The All-Knowing in everything, and He knew what was being, He knew what is being now, He knew what will be, and He knew what did not be; because Allah alone knows the secret and what is concealed; He, Almighty, says:﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it (24) ﴿
You will not be able:
﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it (24) ﴿
In the future…The Quran was revealed for more than one thousand and four hundred years, and during that time the progress of science was far beyond imagination; hence, is there a peremptory fact in all the sciences of Earth that conflicts with Quranic verse? Never, because Quran is the Words of Allah Who is never tells false; but sometimes Muslims commit a funny mistake, as someone might say to you: "Praise be to Allah, the Qur'an agrees with science!", this talk is funny; but you must say: "Praise be to Allah, the science earns a badge of honor when it agrees with the Quran", because Quran is the origin; It is the Words of the Creator of the universes, and It is the Speech in which no doubt. That is the meaning of: (you undoubtedly will.)
There is an expression which I say to you a lot: "The favor of the Words of Allah for the talk of His creatures is like the favor of Allah for His creatures". How much the distance between the creator of universes and the weak human?
Therefore, Allah challenged all the mankind in this Quran, moreover, I didn't go into the subject of the mathematical miracles: I swear by Allah that there are amazing researches and studies, and they summed up that the letters of the Holy Quran are calculated letter by letter in a very accurate calculations, so if you have changed, or you have deleted, or you have added a single letter, all the balance of Quran would be disordered.
But there is no time to go into the subject of arithmetic and mathematical miracles, note that there are scholars have entered in this matter, but they were not sincere, so they committed innumerable mistakes.
Science cannot conflict the verses in the Quran:
Allah says:﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.(24)﴿
For example, after big effort and long age, one of the greatest marine scientists has discovered a fact which he thought that no one has preceded to it, this fact is the natural barrier between two water flats, but there is a decent verse in the holy Quran has mentioned this fact before a thousand and four hundred years:
﴾ He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. (19) Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress.(20)﴿
One of our brother who is a doctor specialist in bones medicine studied in Britain, he studied by a professor in embryology, who is one of the great scientists of his era, and he has composed a very circulated and famous book, that book is called by students: The Gospel of embryology, because it has become a holy book for them, that book is very precise hence it is almost studied in all universities.
This professor who is the teacher of the course and who has been a superior person to a highest degree, has entered once to his students and said: "I have told you earlier in my book, stressing that bones consist after flesh, then I have been shown without any doubt that the case is vice versa, it means that bone is the first, and flesh is the second".
He has entered the room as if he would explode a scientific bomb, he said: "Recently I discovered that bone is composed first, and meat is second"; but a Pakistani student told him:" O Professor this fact has been mentioned in our Book a thousand and four hundred years ago!!"
The person who is telling me the story says: "The Professor was almost shocked, and yelled: This is my invention, this is my discovery". But the student came in the next day with the Holy Quran in addition to its translating into English":
﴾ And We clothed the bones with flesh (14) ﴿
It is said that the Professor has converted to Islam, and the truth is announced that any book which consists scientific facts discovered after the Quran cannot conflict with the verses in the Book of Allah which speak in the same point, or the in same subject
In The holy Quran there are signs in which the origins of
Allah, The Greatest, says:﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it, 24) ﴿
Rather in the Holy Quran there are signs in which the origins of sciences, for example, the atom:
﴾each describing its own orbit (33) ﴿
The forming of fetus:
﴾ And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, (45) From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted;(46)﴿
The movement of mountains:
﴾ And you will see the mountains and think them solid, but they shall pass away as the passing away of the clouds. The Work of Allah, Who perfected all things, verily! He is Well-Acquainted with what you do.(88)﴿
The real believer glorifies, fears, and loves Allah:
It's something unbelievable; Allah says:﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.(24)﴿
Dear Brother, the Quran is balanced. Sometimes, the orator talks about Hell and he makes people feel panic of it; or he just talks about Heaven and he tickles their senses and they feel relax but the best is to talk about Heaven and Hell together, why? Because the human fears and with the fear he should be optimistic, he said:
((Dawud has said addressing his God: “O Lord, who is the human of your worshipers that You love him, in order that I love him as much as You love?” Allah said: “O Dawud, The more who I love from my worshipers is who has a pious heart, who has an immaculate hands, who does not carry the evil to anyone, and who does not tattle; who loved me, and who loved any one has loved me, and who made My servants love Me.” he said: “O Lord, You know that I love you, and love everyone loves you, then how do I make Your servants love you?”
Allah said: “Remind them of My Greatness, the Fear of Mine, and My Affluence"…))
"Remind them with my greatness in order to glorify me, remind them with my affluence in order to love me, and remind them with my ordeal in order to afraid of me…", it means that you must fear Allah, love him, and glorify Him at the same time; There are glorification for Allah, fearing, and love in the heart of real believer. The blessings of Allah call to love him, His indignations call to be afraid of Him, and His graces call to glorify Him. So, the Quran is balanced.
The Creator of universe augurs the believer with Paradise:
After that Allah, Almighty warned us of the denial of Quran, the good news came from Him:﴾ But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
(24) And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever.(25)﴿
The Creator of universe augurs you well, and I swear by Allah, brother, that if we have understood this verse, all your sufferance; a low income, a family problems, a health problems, or a problem in your work:
﴾ And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever (25)﴿
The Creator of universe augurs them well:
﴾ for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) (25) ﴿
This description is eloquent, that is a very beautiful place; sometimes, the human goes to a beautiful garden; roses, trees, water, gardens, green lawns, a luxury house, and a swimming pool; he says to you wonderingly: "It's like the Paradise!"; but the Paradise is permanent, and immortal; but this picnic does not continue more than a quarter of an hour , an hour, two hours, or may be a day, then it will be a recollection; but the Heaven is eternal.
Luxury in Heaven is a result of straightness in this life:
Allah, The Greatest, says:﴾ And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
Not only one Heaven, but many Heavens for them:
﴾ And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
This verse has a several meanings, and one of the greatest meanings: That each luxury you gain in the Heavens is because of your straightness in the worldly life.
For example, if a person has studied for a very long and tiring time, and he got the highest certificate, now he starts to reap the result of his hardworking; now he has a large income, he has a social status, and he feels with a large comfort. What does his lazy friend say?
He says: "When did my friend become in this high rank?" We reply him: "Where was he when you were playing in the alleys?!!"
For thirty-three years, he was studying, and he preferred study on all the chances of the worldly life. Now he is in a high position.
So, what you will be gained in the Hereafter is because of your straightness in the worldly life.
Some people the worldly life is the most important thing for them; that if you call one to a religious session he says: "I am busy, and have no time! Then for anything do you have a time? You find him shirks from any religious session in which he recognizes to Allah, Almighty; while who is sitting on his knees to seek the religious science, and to implement what he has learnt, has a great prestigious for Allah, and Allah, Almighty, has made a reward for those who attend His sessions. He has said: "They are in their mosques and Allah is sponsor to do their business". O believer, don't you agree that Allah is undertaking your matters?
﴾ Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light. But as for those who disbelieve, their Auliya (supporters and helpers) are Taghut[false deities and false leaders, etc.], they bring them out from light into darkness. Those are the dwellers of the Fire, and they will abide therein forever.(257)﴿
Allah sponsors and rears the believer:
O brother, there is a generous verse in "Muhammad Chapter" peace be upon Him:
﴾ That is because Allah is the Maula (Lord, Master, Helper, Protector, etc.) of those who believe, and the disbelievers have no Maula (lord, master, helper, protector, etc.).(11)﴿
Imagine a son under the care of a great, cultured, rich, and educated father; that he gave his son a good upbringing; he has taken care of his ethics, his religion, his health, his feeding, his neatness, his education, he has taken care of his stature, and he watched his actions until the son became a brilliant. On the other hand, there is a young man whose upbringing is bad, he spends his time in the amusement places, in gambling places, he is accused of theft, he is accused of adultery, and he is imprisoned, this human being is without an educator; but the believer is sponsored and reared by Allah; the believer is reared by the Quran, he is reared by the mosque, and you find the believer distinct, because he characterizes by shyness in all his movements and quietness, his clothing are demure, his joke is very nice, his looks are polite, his talk is exact, he fears Allah, he has the fulfillment of the promise, he has a mercy in his heart, and he has equity; you find him completely perfect:
﴾ That is because Allah is the Maula (Lord, Master, Helper, Protector, etc.) of those who believe, and the disbelievers have no Maula (lord, master, helper, protector, etc.).(11)﴿
The infidel is like a strayed animal, he joys and eats as animals eat, but the believer is a superior human and his heart and look are hanging with his Lord:
﴾ Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
Meanings learned from the following verse:
Except for Allah has granted us in the worldly life that we knew Him, we sought knowledge, we straightened up His orders, we lowered our sights, we established the prayers, we performed the Hajj, we fulfilled the almsgiving, we up brought our children, we made our daughters to wear the veil, we made our house and work to be Islamic, we made our income is lawful, we made our spending is in its right way, and we purposed for the righteous work; we would not be here.Look at a person who holds a graduate degree, after he has fatigued for thirty-three years, he says to you: "I swear that I have been tired so much, and I have spent days without sleeping, we had very hard professors…" you find him proud and feels rapture that he has exceeded too large obstacles. So, the people of Paradise are in Paradise. Allah, The Greatest, says:
﴾ Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
The first meaning: Except for Allah has granted us in the worldly life, and we have recognized Him, He has commanded us with some adversities, which have forced us to repentance, so we were gathered with the righteous people, and we were led to make righteous works; hence, Allah approached us, manifested to us, filled our hearts with light, joy, and love for Him; Allah has endeared the faith to us, and sweetened it in our hearts; also He has made us hate the disbelief, immorality, and contempt. Except for the grace of Allah, we would not be in Paradise. The second meaning: If you catch an apple in Paradise, it's an apple, but it does not similar to the apple of the worldly life at all, its taste is different and more delicious, the relationship between both of them is the form and name only, and all the fruit of paradise are so:
﴾ Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein (purified mates or wives), and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
It means that the similarity is only in the form and name, but as for the taste, the comparison between them is rejected. Sometimes you drink a glass of fabricated juice, then you drink a natural juice which is one hundred percent fresh; you do not find any resemblance rate between the two drinks, the difference between them is as big as the distance between the heavens and earth; both of them have the same name, but you find that the fabricated drink is chemical, and the natural one is priceless. This simple example is in the worldly life, so how if it is in Paradise? That was the second meaning.
The one who rejects Heaven for this world is a fool:
Allah, The Greatest, says:
﴾ They will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein purified mates or wives, and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
In Paradise, there is no moodiness, no slouch, and there is no sickness. Women in worldly life have many troubles, but in Heaven they will never have; in Paradise all women are pure and purged, no menstruation, nor a childbed, and nor a recalcitrance; there is no spiteful wife, and nor a knavish wife; all these attributes are negated forever, and wife will be adorned with perfection and beauty as a gift from Allah, Almighty:
﴾ and they shall have therein (purified mates or wives), (and they will abide therein forever(25)﴿
That is the Paradise, its way is clear, and it comes after the death; so, the one who abstains from the Paradise, and lives only for the worldly life, is a foolish man:
﴾ And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), and they will abide therein forever.(25)﴿
Allah doesn’t give those whom He love a lot of this world:
A person may select a very beautiful wife, but after the fifties of her age she has become old, and she became different. The more women are infected with many diseases, and the problems of life varied for the husband and wife. The wisdom of Allah, Almighty, willed that life is tired because we were created for the Heaven, so if the life has been so comfortable, we would hate to meet Allah, Almighty; if life has been very comfortable and everything has been perfect, people would abstain from the Hereafter, and they would be of those who are included by the verse:﴾ Verily, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present world, and those who are heedless of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.),(7)﴿
Therefore, if life has offered all its pleasures for you, it would be a very big danger; because those who Allah, Almighty, has loved them, He made their livelihood in the worldly life is little. The Prophet, peace be upon Him, has said:
(( O Allah, make the livelihood of those who love me is enough to meet all their needs, but without luxury.))
The human should not ask for the perfection in the worldly life, but he must ask for the sufficiency and the livelihood which is enough to meet our needs in the worldly life, and the perfection in the Hereafter. Everything in the Afterlife is perfect, and the Hereafter is based on: you can get everything you want, any thought comes to your mind will become a reality in front of you; it's the luxury of Paradise which is nothing compares to. Allah, The Greatest, says:
﴾ The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. (23) ﴿
It means that the trees in Paradise are always fruitful and you can benefit from their shadows all the time; and their fruits are:
﴾ and their supply will not be cut off, (33) ﴿
The Paradise as described in the Quran:
In the Paradise there are rivers of pure honey, and rivers of milk which its taste has not changed:﴾ and rivers flowing with tasteful, unchanging, immutable milk, rivers flowing with wine making glad the hearts of those who drink it, and rivers flowing with strained clear honey(15)﴿
And Allah says:
﴾ rivers flow with untainted pure fresh water (15) ﴿
The water is untainted, the taste of milk did not change, the honey is pure, and the wine is making glad the hearts of those who drink it:
﴾ They will be accompanied by beauties whose eyes radiate splendor that no one could have conceived (22) Beauties representing as like precious pearls gracefully adorned as with blazonry affording keen pleasure to the sense of sight, and charming the intellectual and moral faculties(23)﴿
That is the Paradise, as described by Allah, Almighty, in the Holy Quran, it is for believers, the way for it is passable and not difficult, and its conditions are not impossible. Sometimes, there is a great thing, but its condition is impossible that it's over your energy, so you abstain from it, but the Paradise is not so, that it's enough to know Allah truly, to obey Him honestly, and to perform all your duties towards Him; hence, you are from the people of Paradise. In the next lesson, By the Will of Allah:
﴾ Verily, Allah is not ashamed to set forth a parable even of a mosquito or so much more when it is bigger (or less when it is smaller) than it. And as for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord, but as for those who disbelieve, they say: "What did Allah intend by this parable?" By it He misleads many, and many He guides thereby. And He misleads thereby only those who are Al-Fasiqun (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah).(26)﴿
