In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, Most Merciful
If we want to talk about the love for the Prophet PBUH, we will ask the following: How can the one who pretends to love the Prophet PBUH prove this love?
The proof of the love for the Prophet PBUH:

There is one all-inclusive, all exclusive proof and it is mentioned in the following Ayah:
﴾ ﴾ Say (O Muhammad PBUH to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. ﴿ ﴿
At later times after Islam was revealed, Muslims were accustomed to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Prophet PBUH by holding gatherings, hanging decorations, giving away sweets, delivering speeches and singing Islamic songs. All these activities are worthless if people do not comply with the Prophetic Sunnah. Allah says:
﴾ ﴾ Say (O Muhammad PBUH to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. ﴿ ﴿
If we forsake the gist of Islam and cling on formalities, we will be in a grave danger.
Ustaz Bilal, Regarding the love for the Prophet PBUH, you have just said that Allah the Almighty owns the Perfection, the Beauty and all Graces and this is a reason to love Him, now my question is what is the secret behind the love for the Prophet PBUH?
The secret behind the love for the Prophet PBUH:

The Prophet PBUH is not only a Messenger with a Divine Message, but rather he is the only perfect human being on earth. Because the Prophet PBUH was at that level of perfection, he is considered the Master of all Prophets and Messengers. He is the best among mankind because of his treatment, tenderness, mercy, justice and fairness. His biography sheds a light on his transcendental character.
Man naturally loves the Prophet PBUH, because he is complete, tender, loyal, merciful, tolerant, charitable and generous, and these traits, embraced by the Prophet PBUH, are the reason behind believers' love for him PBUH.
